i came across your website while I was researching for materials regarding Persian food and religion rituals. I am a student of Australian National University in Masters of Studies.
I have to hand in a paper as my university assignment and I am looking for references about “Nazr & Nazri”. If I can find reliable sources I want to focus on “sofreh Nazri”. The question is the relationship between religion and food with Anthropological point of view. I need accurate information regarding culture of this sunject. Such as, the reason the host of a “sofreh” provides a particular cuisine? Do you know how old is this ceremony? Is it a post-Islamic costume or did we have it before? Why is “Sofreh Abolfazil” elaborated and “Sofreh Hazrate Rogiye “ so simple?
I will be grateful if you can recommend any written materials in this field, such as books, essays and articles. Do we have any books in this area ?
I also seek your approval of using the articles you have on your website and mention Iranchef or Mr Zafari as one of my sources. Please advise under what name you wish to be referred to.
I do apologise for writing this e-mail in English instead of Persian as I am going to forward this e-mail and your future reply to my Lecturer.
I send my paper fetish
